Six Flags Elitch Gardens
Tourism Star Award Recipient — 1999
When Elitch Gardens moved to its downtown location in 1995, it promised to continually work to improve its new home and the park itself. With the help of its parent company, Premiere Parks, Elitch Gardens has kept its promise by increasing the number of thrill rides from 20 to 48 and by investing more than $100 million in the last two years in upgrades and improvements. With the new Six Flags recognition, Elitch Gardens will bring Bugs Bunny, Tweety and others to the park in 1999, as well as a new ToonLand kid’s theme park and Batman Stunt show creating an “All-Star” family attraction for Denver.
